Why Do Leaves Change Color?
In this science experiment student will determine what color a green leaf will turn in the fall when its chlorophyll breaks down. You'll need:
- 3 leaves (from the same tree)
- Rubbing Alcohol
- Jar
- Plastic baggie (or plastic wrap)
- Paper Coffee Filter
- Small bowl or pan

What happens when vinegar and bicarbonate of soda react? Stand back and watch the "lava" flow with this cold-weather experiment! All you need is a heap of snow, a glass jar, baking soda and vinegar. Add food coloring for an eye-popping visual effect!
